It’s been a while since I checked in here, as I did some traveling to both College Football Playoff games my Washington Huskies played, then picked up an illness from the travel, all of which made it tough to hit Week 18 in any real way. I threw a couple of picks for yesterday’s Wild Card games into Discord, which split, but we’re back for more today.

Weeks 15 and 16 were both rough weeks to break a profitable stretch, but we went 3-2 in Week 17 and won the only Week 18 bet. For the season, we’re up to 28-18-1 on spreads, and 4-7 picking underdogs on the moneyline (so still solidly profitable on sides). But we’ve never overcome the early disaster on totals, starting 1-17 over the first several weeks picking overs and unders. We’re at 15-31 currently, so .500 with a slight loss in units since the brutal start.

In the end, there have been good things to take from this year, but the overall record is going to show a loss for the first season since I started publishing and having my sides and totals officially tracked four years ago.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t make up some ground in the playoffs! I’m pretty stoked about the matchups we have in front of us, especially after C.J. Stroud and Patrick Mahomes advanced to keep alive some really fun quarterbacks. I only have one more play for Wild Card weekend, though. Let’s quick announce this week’s $100 Underdog winner, and then jump into that pick.

This week’s $100 Underdog winner is Discord user “AdamGaseBurner”. Congrats! That will be deposited directly into your Underdog account.
