Fanduel has released a new market I haven’t seen released before called “Monthly Leaders” where you can bet the leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards from weeks 1-4.

This is a fun angle to Season Leaders where there is naturally more variance in a shorter span.

I’m not sure how long these lines will be available for as markets like these tend to move very quickly and have very low limits for the amount of money we can bet, but after playing this in the Discord over an hour ago they haven’t moved at all despite us all betting heavily into the market.

Here were the top few in the following at the end of the first month last year:

Passing

  1. Tua Tagovailoa

  2. Kirk Cousins

  3. Matthew Stafford

  4. CJ Stroud

Mahomes/Allen/Dak likely would’ve been the favorites. Stroud would’ve been a massive longshot and was close.

Rushing

  1. Christian McCaffrey

  2. D’Andre Swift

  3. James Conner

  4. Bijan Robinson

McCaffrey lapped the field here but was 20/1 last year in some spots to lead the league in rushing for the season. He probably wouldn’t have been priced in the top five RBs for this.

Swift would’ve had longer odds and Conner would’ve likely been a decent longshot too.

Receiving

  1. Justin Jefferson

  2. Puka Nacua

  3. Tyreek Hill

  4. Keenan Allen

  5. Nico Collins

Both Jefferson and Tyreek would’ve been favorites for this but Puka and Nico both would’ve been priced at likely at least 150/1 or longer odds for this.

Again the winners here in all of these weren’t shocks but the players right behind them were certainly not predicted.

We should use this to our advantage.

I’m also trying to get this out ASAP so the analysis will be limited on each pick.
